A scan drops a grid of points around the business. At each point RankShark searches Google Maps from that spot and plots the result as a station.
Each point opens Google Maps in a real browser and reads the results a customer would see, including the listings around your client.
Readings go through residential IPs matched to the business’s city or region, so Google answers a local searcher, not a data centre.
Every result is kept, so you can show a client who outranks them on which streets, not just one number.
In our test on 20 October 2026, a 7×7 scan of 29 points finished in about 50 seconds. Big grids and schedules run on their own.
Every scan produces the same set of charts, from the first point to the last. Scan a client once, or put them on a schedule and watch the trend.

The three numbers clients ask about, computed for every scan and every keyword.
Every business that shows up in the top 20 gets an average rank, a SoLV and an appearance count. Open one to see its grid on the same map.
Put any two scans side by side on synced maps, and follow ARP, ATRP and SoLV over time on the trend chart.
Run a scan when you want, or daily, weekly or monthly at the hour you pick, in the time zone you choose.

Track is included in every plan today. A standalone Track plan is coming for teams that only need rank charts. Leave your email and we will tell you when it opens.
It checks a business’s Google Maps ranking from many points around it instead of one. Rankings in Maps change with the searcher’s location, so a grid shows where a client is strong, where they fade, and who takes over.
At each grid point a real Chrome browser searches Google Maps through a residential IP matched to the business’s area, and records the full top 20. Points are plotted on a map with the rank, the leader, and the distance from the business.
Yes. Every plan includes Enhance and Track, with the Track allowances shown in the pricing table. A standalone Track plan is coming; you can join the waitlist.
You choose the country, region, city or ZIP for each campaign, and can narrow by ISP or ASN. The panel lists the locations that have IPs online right now.
